MotoGP™: Rins becomes 2020’s eighth victor in Spain

Alex Rins (Team SUZUKI ECSTAR) was first across the line at Round 11 of the 2020 MotoGPTM World Championship – the Gran Premio Michelin® de Aragón – to become the season’s eighth different winner. Alex Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) was second again, while third-placed Joan Mir (Team SUZUKI ECSTAR) made it two Suzukis on the podium and now tops the provisional Riders’ standings. The day’s top three featured two different MICHELIN Power Slick combinations.

Torres takes advantage of the superior performance of the current, more environmentally-respectful MICHELIN Power Slick MotoE range to claim the 2020 FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup

Jordi Torres (Pons Racing 40) laid the foundations for his 2020 MotoE™ title by winning the first of the two races at the weekend’s SHARK Helmets Grand Prix de France. The season’s final clash was won by Niki Tuuli (Avant Ajo MotoE).

MotoGP™: Petrucci wins at Le Mans aided by the exceptional grip delivered by his MICHELIN Power Rain tyres

The 2020 SHARK Helmets Grand Prix de France – Round 10 of the MotoGPTM World Championship – was won by Ducati Team’s Danilo Petrucci, ahead of Alex Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) and Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Racing Factory). The outstanding grip provided by the MICHELIN Power Rain as heavy rain swept over Le Mans-Bugatti was acclaimed by all the teams. Three different makes featured on the podium, while Frenchman Fabio Quartararo continues to top the provisional Riders’ standings.

1-2 glory for Hyundai/Michelin in Sardinia

Spain’s Dani Sordo collected his second straight Rally Italia Sardegna victory, heading home fellow Hyundai i20 WRC/Michelin runner Thierry Neuville and Sébastien Ogier (Toyota/Michelin).

The Michelin Pilot Sport range triumphs at the Nürburgring

Michelin and its partner BMW chalked up their 20th Nürburgring 24 Hours wins at the weekend thanks to the N°99 M6 GT3. The Sims/Catsburg/Yelloly car overcame horrendous weather in Germany’s Eifel Mountains to finish clear of eight other Michelin Pilot Sport-equipped GT3s.

MotoGP™: ‘Win 3’ for Quartararo!

Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha Petronas SRT) collected his third win of the 2020 MotoGPTM World Championship in Spain, ahead of Team SUZUKI ECSTAR’s Joan Mir and Alex Rins. Cool weather for the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya (Round 9) saw the majority of the field start on soft MICHELIN Power Slicks front and rear, while eight riders improved on last year’s fastest race lap.

Less than a week after claiming its 29th victory at Le Mans, Michelin will be looking to showcase the Performance-Made-To-Last qualities of the Michelin Pilot Sport range of tyres yet again when the 2020 Nürburgring 24 Hours gets under way at Germany’s infamous Nordschleife on Saturday.

MotoGP™: A sixth different winner and more records for Michelin at Misano

Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) has emerged as the 2020 MotoGPTM campaign’s sixth different victor after winning the Gran Premio TISSOT dell'Emilia Romagna e della Riviera di Rimini at Misano, Italy. Three different bikemakers finished on the afternoon’s podium, while the grip performance of the MICHELIN Power Slick contributed to a number of records tumbling.

Evans (Toyota/Michelin) triumphs in Turkey

Just hours before celebrating their victory together at the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours, Toyota and Michelin took the top prize in Round 5 of this year’s FIA World Rally Championship. The laurels went to Welshman Elfyn Evans and his Michelin LTX Force-equipped Toyota Yaris WRC which scored the Franco/Japanese association’s 120th world-class rallying podium.

Toyota and Michelin score Le Mans hat trick!

The partnership between Michelin and Toyota Gazoo Racing delivered a third consecutive triumph at Le Mans this weekend with the N°8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid crewed by Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Kazuki Nakajima. Thanks to the long-lasting performance of its Pilot Sport range, Michelin not only succeeded in completing a record-breaking quintuple stint with a Rebellion prototype on the same four tyres, but also achieved a grand-slam result at the great French race for the second year running, accompanying United Autosports to victory in LMP2 and Aston Martins to the top step of the podium in LMGTE Pro and Am. Michelin dedicates these successes to all the passionate and loyal endurance racing fans who were unfortunately unable to attend the 88th edition of this legendary race which was held behind closed doors for the first time due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
