Sébastien Ogier secures his 7th WRC crown with Michelin

Sébastien Ogier won the 2020 Rally Monza to notch up his 47th world-class victory and the seventh FIA World Rally Championship crown of his career on Michelin tyres. The Italian event was the final outing of the French firm’s current spell in the FIA WRC which has seen it harvest no fewer than 347 victories, 1,037 podium placings and 58 Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ world titles since the competition’s creation in 1973, aided by a long list of technological innovations and close working relationships with its driver and carmaker partners.

MotoGP™: Miguel Oliveira reigns supreme on home soil

The final clash of the 2020 MotoGPTM World Championship at Portimão was won in assertive fashion by local star Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Tech 3). The Grande Prémio MEO de Portugal’s pole-sitter comfortably outdistanced Jack Miller (Pramac Racing) and Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) who made it three different bikemakers and two different MICHELIN Power Slick pairings on the podium.

MotoGP™: Valencia honours for Morbidelli, as Mir clinches title!

The Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana – Round 14 of the 2020 MotoGPTM World Championship – as won by Franco Morbidelli. The Yamaha Petronas SRT rider was joined on the Valencia podium by Jack Miller (Pramac Racing) and Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Racing Factory), while seventh place sufficed for Joan Mir (Team SUZUKI ECSTAR) to make certain of this season’s Riders’ crown. The MICHELIN Power Slick provided further evidence of its versatility with the top four finishers in Spain running two different tyre combinations.

Michelin tops the order in Bahrain and Sebring

Michelin combined victory at the last round of the 2019/2020 FIA World Endurance Championship with Toyota in Bahrain with the win – with Mazda – at the 12 Hours of Sebring, final clash of North America’s IMSA WeatherTech Championship. Michelin claimed all the titles up for grabs in both competitions.

MotoGP™: Michelin shines in Valencia sun as Mir becomes season’s ninth winner

Joan Mir (Team SUZUKI ECSTAR) pocketed the first victory of his MotoGPTM career by winning the Gran Premio de Europa at Valencia, Spain, Round 13 of the 2020 World Championship. The provisional series leader finished clear of team-mate Alex Rins and Red Bull KTM Factory Team’s Pol Espargaro who made it two different bikemakers and two different tyre combinations on the podium.

MotoGP™: More records for Michelin at Aragon as Morbidelli claims second win

Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) won the Gran Premio Liqui Moly de Teruel (Round 12 of the 2020 MotoGPTM World Championship) to pocket his second victory of the campaign. Second was Alex Rins, chased by SUZUKI ECSTAR team-mate Joan Mir who continues to top the Riders’ standings with three races remaining. There were more records for the MICHELIN Power Slick, three different combinations of which figured on the Spanish podium.

MotoGP™: Rins becomes 2020’s eighth victor in Spain

Alex Rins (Team SUZUKI ECSTAR) was first across the line at Round 11 of the 2020 MotoGPTM World Championship – the Gran Premio Michelin® de Aragón – to become the season’s eighth different winner. Alex Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) was second again, while third-placed Joan Mir (Team SUZUKI ECSTAR) made it two Suzukis on the podium and now tops the provisional Riders’ standings. The day’s top three featured two different MICHELIN Power Slick combinations.

Torres takes advantage of the superior performance of the current, more environmentally-respectful MICHELIN Power Slick MotoE range to claim the 2020 FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup

Jordi Torres (Pons Racing 40) laid the foundations for his 2020 MotoE™ title by winning the first of the two races at the weekend’s SHARK Helmets Grand Prix de France. The season’s final clash was won by Niki Tuuli (Avant Ajo MotoE).

MotoGP™: Petrucci wins at Le Mans aided by the exceptional grip delivered by his MICHELIN Power Rain tyres

The 2020 SHARK Helmets Grand Prix de France – Round 10 of the MotoGPTM World Championship – was won by Ducati Team’s Danilo Petrucci, ahead of Alex Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) and Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Racing Factory). The outstanding grip provided by the MICHELIN Power Rain as heavy rain swept over Le Mans-Bugatti was acclaimed by all the teams. Three different makes featured on the podium, while Frenchman Fabio Quartararo continues to top the provisional Riders’ standings.

1-2 glory for Hyundai/Michelin in Sardinia

Spain’s Dani Sordo collected his second straight Rally Italia Sardegna victory, heading home fellow Hyundai i20 WRC/Michelin runner Thierry Neuville and Sébastien Ogier (Toyota/Michelin).

The Michelin Pilot Sport range triumphs at the Nürburgring

Michelin and its partner BMW chalked up their 20th Nürburgring 24 Hours wins at the weekend thanks to the N°99 M6 GT3. The Sims/Catsburg/Yelloly car overcame horrendous weather in Germany’s Eifel Mountains to finish clear of eight other Michelin Pilot Sport-equipped GT3s.
